Melo's wife: They would be happy to stay in Denver

DENVER (AP) - Television personality La La Vazquez says she's not the driving force behind the rampant speculation that her husband, basketball star Carmelo Anthony, will end up in the Big
Apple.

Anthony has yet to sign off on a three-year, $65 million extension that's been on the table since June, leading the Denver Nuggets to explore trade options. Many believe Anthony could end up
with the New York Knicks or New Jersey Nets either by a trade this season or via free agency next summer.

Vazquez, who married Anthony in a New York wedding last July, tells The Associated Press during an appearance at a Denver public school Friday that she would be happy wherever Anthony wants to play.

Many youngsters at the event implored Anthony to stay in Denver.
