Melo is named All-Star starter

Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony has been voted a starter for the Western Conference All-Stars in the upcoming NBA All-Star game. This will be Carmelo's fourth All-Star game and third as a starter.
Anthony is still the subject of numerous trade rumors. The Nuggets are expected to trade him prior to the February 24 trade deadline. If he's traded to an Eastern team prior to the All-Star game on February 20 he will be added to the roster but he wouldn't be a starter.
The Lakers Kobe Bryant was the leading vote getter in fan balloting.
