McFadyen cleared by Springs DA

PUEBLO - County Commissioner Liane "Buffie" McFadyen will not be charged for drunk driving. The Fourth Judicial District Attorney's office in Colorado Springs tells News 5 there is not enough evidence to prosecute the case.

They were asked to review the case by the Pueblo DA Jeff Chostner in the interest of transparency after his office also declined to prosecute.

Last month, McFadyen released the dashboard camera video and incident report from a traffic stop back in January.

Deputies pulled up on McFadyen and Pueblo County Democratic Party Chairman Ron Greenwell as they were sitting in McFadyen's parked SUV in Pueblo West

McFadyen admitted to drinking and Greenwell took a breathalyzer test that showed he was over the legal limit. The deputies allowed both to call for a ride home.
