Massages may help relieve those allergy symptoms

As the warm weather arrives so does the pollen. That means plenty of folks are sniffling with drying, runny eyes.

While there's plenty of medication to prevent the symptoms, nothing is foolproof. That's why some folks use massage therapy to relieve their sniffling.

Research shows stress can exacerbate allergy symptoms by increasing production of histamines, the chemical our body pours out in response to allergens like pollen. The bottom line is reduce the stress, may relieve the allergic reaction.

Sometimes in the massage, you can also add hot stones to facilitate lymphatic drainage, blood flow and relaxation.

Keep in mind that massage therapy is not meant to replace medication for treating allergies, it's a complimentary therapy.  And as always, it might be best to check with your doctor to see all your options for relief.
