Masked and armed robber makes getaway from local bank

Colorado Springs Police from the Stetson Hills division were called to the TCF Bank located at 5470 E. Woodmen Rd on the Northeast side of Colorado Springs at 10:25am Saturday. The investigation is in its very early stages and there are very few details being released by police.

What we know at this time, based on our interview with Lt. Brian Ritz, is that a lone unidentified male entered the bank and presented a hand gun, then demanded money from the tellers. He was last seen leaving the bank on foot carrying a blue duffle bag with an undisclosed amount of money.

The description given by Colorado Springs is still preliminary, but the suspect is described as a male, of unknown race, wearing a bandana to cover his face. He is about 5' 8" tall and a medium build. He was wearing a grey and green hooded jacket. The blue duffle bag he was seen leaving with had a Denver Broncos emblem on it.

Robbery detectives are just starting their investigation and as soon as more details are released, we will update.
