DENVER (AP) - A Colorado plan to spend $10 million studying the health effects of marijuana awaits the governor's signature.
The state House voted 60-5 Monday to take the money from medical marijuana fees to spend on health studies. The money comes from a surplus from medical marijuana fees collected by the state Health Department over the years.
The research plan was just one of the marijuana-related measures awaiting resolution in the final days on the state Legislature.
Also Monday, lawmakers sent the governor a bill to set possession limits on concentrated marijuana. They were still considering bills on edible marijuana and banking for the industry.
