Manitou Springs police are asking people who live in the city to remain watchful today as the threat of flash flooding enters another day.
Police Chief Joe Ribeiro spoke to media at 10 a.m this morning, saying 13 buildings, 11 cars, and 4 businesses were damaged in yesterday's flooding.
Ribeiro says he personally tried to set off a city-wide alarm, but it did not sound. He plans to address the technical issue today.
Canon Avenue remains closed as the cleanup of mud and debris continues.
