Manitou neighborhood evacuated

A handful of people were evacuated from some thee homes in a neighborhood north of US Hwy 24 in Manitou Springs. The homes are located along Alpine Trail, Lucerne Trail and Geneva Trail.
The southern edge of the Waldo Canyon Fire reached Williams Canyon, an area established by fire commanders as a trigger point for evacuations.
The evacuation order is mandatory for the aforementioned streets. However, the homes in that area are not threatened.
