Man wanted for assault inside Fremont County Courthouse

Area law enforcement agencies are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a Fremont County Deputy at the courthouse in Canon City this afternoon.

According to reports from Canon City, it happened inside the courthouse. A judge had revoked parole for a man originally convicted of criminal mischief. According to the Fremont County Sheriff's Office, 20-year-old Bret Leader wrestled with a deputy and was able to get away. Deputy David Garcia received scrapes and bruises.

Leader was last seen near Penrose.
