Man stumbles into backyard fire pit

How's this for a dreadful death--officials in Phoenix say a man stumbled into a three foot deep fire pit that had been dug in a backyard to roast a pig. Family and friends rushed to his aid, but couldn't pull him from the fiery hole before he died.

The roasted pig was supposed to be part of a festive holiday meal.
