Man pleads guilty in baby death

A Pueblo man pleaded guilty Tuesday afternoon to child abuse which resulted in the death of his cousin, a 9 month old baby.
Kevin Buehler, 23, entered an Alford plea, which means he maintains his innocence but believes there's enough evidence for him to be convicted. In exchange for the plea a 1st degree murder charge will be dropped.
Authorities arrested Buehler last July in the death of Iyana Perez. Her body was found in a dumpster near 29th and Elizabeth. Pending the approval of a judge, Buehler will be sentenced to 30 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for July 7.
