Man killed in Pueblo shooting identified

A man who was shot and killed after allegedely firing a bb gun at a Pueblo Police Officer has been identified. He's 21-year old Edward Valdez III according to relatives. 

Pueblo police say Valdez was shooting out car windows on the southside of town. When confronted by police a shootout took place. Police say Valdez opened fire on the officer striking him twice. Police say the officer returned fire, discharging 8 bullets and Valdez was struck at least twice.

The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries. A Critical Incident Team is investigating the shooting.
