Man found in canal may have been a transient

Pueblo County Coroner Jim Kramer says a man found in a canal in downtown Pueblo this afternoon appears to be a transient.
The body was discovered by a couple of fishermen around 3 o'clock this afternoon. He was face down in the water channel that comes from the Pueblo Riverwalk just south east of the intersection of Grand and Santa Fe.
Kramer examined the body at the scene and told News First 5 there were no obvious signs of injury.
The cause of death may be determined tomorrow when an autopsy is performed.
