Man found dead on Academy Blvd. identified

Colorado Springs police confirm that the man killed near the intersection of Academy and Chelton Tuesday morning was 68-year-old Antonio Camarillo Gallegos.
CSPD spokeswoman Barbara Miller says that Gallegos was a Colorado Springs resident.
Gallegos was found in the intersection around six Tuesday morning. He died at the scene.
CSPD was investigating the scene as an accidental fatality, possibly a hit and run. Police say other possibilities include the body being dumped at the scene or possibly that Gallegos fell into the street and was hit.
No suspect information is available yet. The investigation to Gallegos' death continues.
