Pueblo Police are investigating the death of a man found in the Pueblo River Walk this afternoon. The man shows no obvious signs of injury. He's believed to be in his mid to late 40s. Deputy Police Chief John Ercul says an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Even though there are no obvious signs of foul play, Ercul says it is a suspicious death and will be investigated thoroughly.
The man was wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He was found in the water just under a pedestrian bridge at the east end of the River Walk. The Pueblo Coroner says identification was found with the body and they will use fingerprints to make sure the ID belongs to this man.
The body was found by a maintenance crew at the River Walk.
