Today was the deadline for a Colorado Springs man to clean up his yard in the Skyway area of Colorado Springs. He had hoarded so much stuff that the city took the unusual step of taking him to court.

Thomas Taylor has spent the last three weeks sorting and scrapping the various odds and ends lying around his yard trying to avoid a fine.

But this afternoon a municipal court judge found Taylor guilty of all four charges against him. He was ordered to pay the maximum fine of $2,000. The judge also scolded Taylor for letting the property turn into a "junkyard" and said he could face jail time if the place isn't cleaned up.
