Police search for possible flasher in Colorado Springs

A little 7-year-old girl out playing in her neighborhood Tuesday morning was the victim of a man who exposed himself to her, according to Colorado Springs Police Lt. Pat Rigdon. The investigation is preliminary--so details are sketchy--but police released a description of the man and his car so residents can keep an eye-out for him.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, medium height and build, with blond hair. He was wearing blue jean shorts and a white shirt.

The man was driving a silver Volvo sedan, with the word "south" either on the license plate or the license plate holder.

Lt. Rigdon says the little girl is still being interviewed by police. He says the child was playing outside in the Southgate area. The exposure took place behind a dumpster. Police are trying to find out if the man lured her there, or if she was dragged. Lt. Rigdon was also uncertain if the suspect had improperly touched the child, or if she had been forced to touch the suspect.

Police are saying that the child is OK. The incident was reported around 9:45 am.

If you have any information on the suspect, call CSPD at 444-7000.
