Colorado State Troopers say that early Saturday morning, a man was struck and killed while walking in the lane of traffic on Weld County Road 49 (WCR 49).
Apparently the man had just rolled his Jeep Cherokee while driving southbound on WCR 49. The man was able to free himself from the vehicle. He then started walking southbound in the northbound lane of WCR 49. A short time later, a Acura Sedan traveling northbound on WCR 49 struck the man.
The driver of the Acura was transported to Northern Colorado Medical Center with moderate injuries. A passenger in the Acura was not injured.
No names are being released at this time pending the notification of family.
The investigation is on-going.
