Man dead after apparent "accidental discharge" of gun in apartment complex

After a gun goes off in a Colorado Springs apartment complex early Saturday morning, one man is dead.

Springs police say they were called to a shooting around 3:00 a.m. near S. Murray Blvd. and Airport Road. When police showed up to the Wind Mill Apartments, on the 4000 block of Lacy Lane, they say they found paramedics already treating a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Police describe the situation in a report as, "an apparent accidental discharge of a firearm."

The 38-year-old was transported to Memorial Central Hospital but later died from his injuries; his name hasn't been released.
