Forget snakes on a plane, how about a chicken on a train.
An ordinary uptown 6 subway ride on Tuesday night turned bizarre when an unidentified man spun on the floor with a chicken.
A passenger named "Kylie" posted the footage on her blog which eventually ended up on YouTube.
The train errupted in laughter and confusion as the man, apparently homeless, and wearing a sweater with the MTA logo on it, obliviously kissed and hugged the chicken.
While strangers made no official complaint, spokesman Charles Seaton for NYC Transit said they are investigating whether the incident was staged or real.
Officials said the MTA rules Rules of Conduct state that "no person may bring any animal on or into any conveyance or facility unless enclosed in a container and carried in a manner which would not annoy another person." The only exceptions are working dogs for law enforcement, service animals and animals training to be service animals by a professional trainer.
Since the man in the chicken video is wearing an MTA patch, transit investigators are looking into whether he's an actual employee or an imposter.
