Man arrested in Highway 50 stop

Several law enforcement agencies coordinated this morning to stop a car officers believed might have a kidnap victim inside.
A probation officer had received a tip that a woman might have been abducted at knife point by Brandon Atencio, 24. Atencio's car was forced off the road and searched along Highway 50 near Penrose.
There was a woman in the car, but she had not been abducted as initially reported. Atencio was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation.
