BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Boulder police have arrested a man they say kicked and stomped a 4-month-old puppy before dragging it by its leash.
Police say several witnesses reported a puppy being abused on Wednesday. Witnesses said the puppy was hit more than five times and stomped on its head two or three times.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera, Edward McMorris was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty and obstructing a peace officer. McMorris said the puppy is named Tater.
Police say the puppy was listless and unresponsive when it was taken to a veterinarian where it was being evaluated.
