Man arrested for stealing phone company van

The arrest of a suspect in a stolen vehicle case started with a tip from a caller in Pueblo County.
Yesterday afternoon a caller told the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office a suspicious man was walking on Highway 78 west of Pueblo.
Deputies found an abandoned Qwest van and then Blaine Dowel, 24, nearby. After an investigation he was found to be a felon out of Kansas. Deputies also found two guns and an ounce of marijuana.
Dowel was charged with the theft of a Qwest van, as well as weapons and drug charges.
