On Friday night, Colorado Springs Police Officers went to investigate a residence in the 300 block of Audubon Drive on a report of shots fired. The reporting party called dispatch and said that someone had shot at him.
When Springs Officers arrived at the residents, they contacted the reporting party, 26 year-old William Calo and his friend, who were both at the residence.
That's were Officers learned that Mr. Calo and his friend were in Mr. Calo's residence, when they heard a noise coming from the garage. Mr. Calo then armed himself with a handgun, and then he and his friend went to see what was the noise. What they said they saw was a man running away from the car that was parked in the garage. They also saw items from the car laying on the ground.
Mr. Calo said he saw the suspect get into a silver colored vehicle, that left northbound on Audubon Drive. Mr. Calo's friend then followed the suspect vehicle in his own vehicle.

Mr. Calo was taken into custody, and was later transported to CJC on the charge of illegal discharge of a firearm. The suspect in the burglary has not yet been located.
