Man arrested after early morning standoff with Springs Police

One man has been arrested in Colorado Springs after a several hour standoff with police lasting into Monday morning. 26 year old Rocky Ortiz was arrested for felony menacing.

Springs Police say they were called to a home in the 4300 block of Roundtree Court just before 11 p.m. The caller said a man was threatening people with a gun and that he had assaulted his brother with a baseball bat. Police were also told the man possibly had 15 guns in the home.

Police weren't able to get in contact with Ortiz until after 3 a.m. Ortiz surrendered to police peacefully just after 5 a.m.
