TRINIDAD, Colo. (AP) - Officers have arrested a man and woman who they say ran from a stolen car that authorities chased from the Walsenburg area to Trinidad.

The Colorado State Patrol says the chase began Tuesday morning after a trooper tried to pull over the car on Interstate 25.

Patrol spokesman Nate Reid says 24-year-old Nicholas Byard and a woman whose name wasn't immediately released were arrested.

The Trinidad Chronicle-News reports Byard was already wanted on a $50,000 warrant out of Pueblo on accusations that he stole a truck in Fountain on Thursday and rammed two Pueblo County Sheriff's Department cars Friday while trying to escape.

Byard is also on probation for previous convictions of felony auto theft, misdemeanor assault and felony weapons charges.
