Man accidentlly shoots his finger

A Pueblo accidentally shot himself while cleaning his gun Wednesday afternoon. James Favorite was at his home on Pueblo's south side.
He told Police Officer Erik Juno he had reassembled the gun, a 9 mm. He said he loaded a full magazine and racked the slide to see if it was working properly. He said he somehow pulled the trigger while his other hand was in front of the barrel.
Emergency personnel said the middle finger on his left hand was barely attached and might have to be removed.
The bullet went through a wall, and into a medicine cabinet on the other side.
