Man, 2 dogs OK after falling into icy pond

Authorities say a man was rescued after he fell through a frozen pond while going after two of his
wayward dogs in Highlands Ranch.

Littleton Fire Rescue officials say the man went after the dogs after his pets ventured onto a pond at Redstone Park to chase some geese Sunday afternoon. The two dogs also fell through the ice. One got out by itself and the other one had to be rescued.

Littleton officials this is the fourth time this season they've had to rescue someone from the Redstone Pond. Officials are warning people to call 911 for help instead of trying to rescue pets themselves.
