Mall security guard injured

A mall security guard was injured in Colorado Springs late Sunday night.

Colorado Springs Police report that the security guard on Chapel Hills Dr. contacted a suspicious person, described as a white man wearing dark clothing. The security guard suffered two scrapes in the confrontation. His injuries were not serious.

The suspect fled on foot. A K9 unit searched the area, but the suspect got away.
