On one of the busiest travel days of the year, some big delays in Colorado Springs. Heavy fogs and a small plane crash nearly shut things down at the airport. Around 20 delays and cancellations left many with little options. Hundreds boarded buses headed to DIA to try and catch any flight possible. "I'm very nervous but I can understand." said Kathy Visscher as she boarded one of the buses, "It's bad weather, what can you do?"
Monica Zanfes nervously stood by waiting for her daughter's plane which was repeatedly delayed. "When you look up on the screen and it's supposed to be here at 12:12 and it's already a half hour delayed, then it's 12:25 and all of these people are waiting... You get a little nervous." she explained.
Others, like Dondi King and her daughter eagerly wait for her husband, a soldier to get home after a year away. "Now that he's coming back I've got the tree up and dinner in the crock pot baking. I'm hoping it's still fine by the time he gets here!" she said. But for others like Sarah Seminara, it's not all bad. "I don't really mind." she said, "It's part of the adventure. I've got two months more of traveling so hopefully it's not all like this."
