Luring suspect was active duty soldier

WIDEFIELD - A man arrested Thursday on a charge of Enticement of a Child was an active duty soldier stationed at Fort Carson. Public Affairs Officers with the 4th Infantry Division confirm that 27-year old Justin Nooner has served in the Army for 6 years and 10 months.

Spc. Nooner most recently served as a mechanic attached to 1st Brigade Combat Team and had been awarded campaign medals for serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office arrested him Thursday when they spotted his car near King Elementary School in Widefield. Investigators had been given his description after two girls reported that a man matching Nooner's description drove up to them and asked if they wanted to perform a oral sex on him.

Nooner was released from the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on $3,000 bond. Enticement of a Child is a Class 4 Felony and carry a potential prison sentence of up to 6 years.
