TODAY: On the way to such a lovely today. Sunny skies, light winds and mild temps. Highs around 53 in the Springs...58 for Canon and Pueblo and nearly 60 in Denver. Enjoy!
TONIGHT: As a weak storm system approaches from the northwest we'll expect increasing clouds and slightly milder temps. Lows will stay near 30 in Colorado Springs and Canon City. Temps will be a bit colder for Pueblo, Trinidad and the eastern plains.
WEDNESDAY: That Pacific storm spreads some clouds across the state and some showers across the state. For skiers we'll see a quick shot of about 2-4" of snow for some of the higher elevations. Here in eastern Colorado most of the day will be fairly quiet until late in the day and evening. Temps before the storm and cool front rolls-in will be close to highs we'll be seeing today. Now...after about 4-5 PM there will be a pretty good chance of rain and snow showers for the Front Range through 10-11 PM. 20% chance for rain/snow showers in Colorado Springs and Pueblo...30-40% chance in Teller County and about 30% for Canon City and Monument. We ‘could' have a few areas at the higher elevations and the Palmer Divide that end-up with a light accumulation of snow by late evening.
THURSDAY: As that weak storm system moves out of the state we'll expect much more sunshine and slightly cooler air to slide into eastern Colorado. High temps will be about 6-8 degrees cooler compared to highs on Wednesday.
FRIDAY: Last day of the week sounds very nice with plenty of sunshine a bit of a breeze and warmer temperatures. 52 for the Springs and 56 for Pueblo and Canon City. Another much more significant storm takes aim at Colorado for the weekend.
SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Snow showers, colder and unsettled for the weekend! A stronger cold front and storm system will bring snow and cold to the mountains and likely to eastern Colorado! High temps Saturday will be early in the day and then colder air arrives after lunchtime. The storm bringing snow the mountains moves through the region from the southwest and could be enough to bring us a few snow showers by late Saturday and on in to Sunday. Snow showers are looking more likely by late in the day and through Sunday for all of us. 40% chance in Colorado Springs and Canon City...about a 30% chance for Pueblo. Chances for snow are much higher for the areas west of I-25 and into the higher elevations...including the Rampart Range/Wets and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Snow showers still flying to starts the Sunday forecast and it will be colder. 30's for highs in the Springs/Pueblo and Canon City. 20's in Teller County.
MONDAY: Calmer, sunnier weather returns to start the new week. Temps will be chilly with highs of only 37 for Colorado Springs and about 40 for Pueblo and Canon City. Temps in Teller County will be in the upper 20's and lower 30's.
