LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) - A new Colorado skydiving record was set in Longmont when 69 people dropped from planes over the Vance Brand Municipal Airport.

The Longmont Times-Call reports that the state record was set Sunday morning. The previous state record was set in 2008 with 56 skydivers in Lamar.

The skydivers leaped from planes at 15,300 feet and grabbed ahold of each other long enough for a photo. The skydivers' ages ranged from 19 to 67.

Organizer Jim McCormick of Estes Park called the feat an enormous undertaking.
