Longest cold records

The longest stretch of consecutive days below freezing in Colorado Springs is 14. The stretch ended January 9, 1970. The stretch of consecutive days below freezing in Pueblo is 13. That stretch ended January 11, 1974. We would need at least 9 consecutive days below freezing for the current cold spell to be one of the top 10 longest stretches below freezing.

The longest stretch of consecutive days below 20 degrees in Colorado Springs AND in Pueblo is 9, and the stretch ended for both cities on Christmas Day 1983. We would need five days below 20 for our current cold spell to be among the top 10 longest stretches below 20.
