Local official to oversee election in Albania

An election specialist from the El Paso County Election Department will travel to Albania to oversee a local election.
Election Specialist Emily Rome will take leave of absence from her job in Colorado Springs.
She will volunteer with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe which is an agency chartered by the United Nations. One of its main functions is to assist with ensuring countries have fair and honest elections.
Rome will be in Albania for eight days, observing processes at voting centers.
