Local mid-town convenience store robbed at gun point

Colorado Springs Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at around 6:20 pm Saturday. The robbery took place at the Diamond Shamrock convenience store located at 3115 Sinton Road, near I-25 and Fillmore. Police are looking for a Caucasian male, approximately 21 to 35 years of age and 6' 2" tall.

The store clerk tells police that the suspect entered the store and displayed a hand gun while demanding money. The clerk complied and the suspect was last seen heading westbound on foot on Sinton Road. The suspect was also described as wearing a black knit cap, dark jacket and pants. Responding officers were on scene within 3 minutes of the robbery alarm, but were unable to locate the suspect.
