Local foodie truck trying to earn some national attention

Chefs and foodies all across the country are leaving behind the traditional restaurants and taking to the road. Some call them rolling soup kitchens, roach coaches or just simply food trucks. Season one of the Great Food Truck Race is already airing on the Food Network and Liz Rosenbaum took notice. Liz owns Her Story Café a tricked out food truck that can be found around Colorado Springs Monday through Thursday, rain or shine.

Liz has entered to be on the Great Food Truck Race for season three and in fact there are at least two other local entries you can find from the Colorado Springs area.

Liz says, "I emailed some of my favorite foodie customers and they helped nominate me. I was selected after I submitted information about my business and all you have to do is vote for me and if I get enough votes, I'll be in Season three."

The trucks compete in weekly challenges to see who can sell the most food and race to the next episode while the losing team drives home. The last truck standing wins $100,000.

Liz brought her truck over to the KOAA Colorado Springs studio so we could get a close up look and learn more about the show. You can learn more and vote by clicking here.
