Local festival raised $25,000 for charity

If you hoisted a few pints last weekend, you contributed to a successful event that raised $25,000 for charity.

The 2010 Springs Beer Fest in Antlers Park drew 1,800 attendees.

The $25,000 raised is being donated to Friends of Cheyenne Canon, a non-profit organization and conservation group that maintains parks and trails for outdoor enthusiasts in the greater Colorado Springs area.

The 4th annual event was hosted and staffed by area Old Chicago restaurants, Bristol Brewery and The Friends of Cheyenne Canyon.
