Local couple using technology to live forever online

QR Codes are those square codes that you can scan with your smart phone and they usually take you to a website. Businesses are using them as a marketing tool and it seems like they're everywhere.

A local man however, has found a pretty unique way to use them, on headstones. David Hughes wife passed away in March. To help her story live on he created a memorial website for her. He put a QR code on her tombstone which links back to that site. He also has one on a tombstone for himself when he passes away. This is the most unique use for these QR Codes that we've found.

Coming up tonight on News 5, more from David Hughes and his idea for the codes, plus we'll take a look at how the codes work.
