Faced with financial troubles, animal shelters and rescue organizations are seeing a rise in the number of animals being surrendered. Unable to afford their family pets, many people are turning to rescues to take them in- and now those businesses are in need as well. One local thrift store staffed by animal lovers is doing their part to help.
St. Paws Thrift Store donates 100% of their proceeds to local animal rescues and shelters. Since they opened last February, they've generated over $30,000 in sales- all helping rescue organizations to pay veterinarian bills, supply food, and maintain operations.
If you'd like to donate or volunteer, St. Paws is located at the Citadel Commons in off Platte.
