Kids free as Life in a Tipi exhibit opens in Pueblo

The El Pueblo History Museum in Pueblo is opening a new, interactive exhibit, "Life in a Tipi."

You can experience the exhibit with a special Kids Opening on Friday, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Refreshments and activities will be provided.

Adults and senior citizens are also invited.

Children 12 and under are free. Discounted admission for opening, students and adults are $3, senior citizens are $2.

Roland McCook, Sr. of Montrose, the great-great grandson of Chipeta, wife of Chief Ouray, will present the "Ute Bear Dance" lecture beginning at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $5 per person, call the museum at 583-0453 to register.

The museum is located at 301 North Union, Pueblo.
