Liberty returns to City Hall

You may have seen it today, a large crane stationed in front of City Hall downtown Colorado Springs. Why is it there? Well Lady Liberty has returned to her place of honor in front of City Hall. The statue stood on the front lawn for several years before taken down for the renovation of City Hall between 1999 and 2000. The statue had been away since and finally after 11 years she is back on her pedestal where all can see her from Nevada Ave.
A formal dedication will be held July 4th by the organization responsibe for the City Hall renovation.
