Legendary coach dies

CYBERSPACE (AP) - For a guy nicknamed "Bum," he was quite the gentleman when it came to manners. Former Houston Oilers coach Bum Phillips was widely known for wearing a large white cowboy hat. But he never wore one when his team played in the Houston Astrodome or any covered stadium - because his mom taught him never to wear a hat indoors. He led the team during the Oilers "Luv Ya Blue" days. The ex-coach died this past Friday. He was 90 - and also coached the New Orleans Saints during his career.
