Lee Douglas among those remembered at Trees of Life ceremony

It's an annual holiday tradition in Colorado Springs: the Trees of Life ceremony.
It's a chance for the community to come together to remember loved ones who passed away this year. The News 5 family is remembering one of our own: Sports Director Lee Douglas.
More than 400 people came out to the Pioneers Museum for the ceremony put on by Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care. The names of loved ones were read in remembrance. After the list of names was done, people in the audience had a chance to mention anyone they wanted to honor.
Trees were lit with more than 30,000 lights, each meant to symbolize the memories of those who have passed on.
This year, like years past, there is also a tree lit with red, white, and blue lights in honor of our military and those who work every day to protect the community.
