Leaves change color early, but it doesn't mean fall is here

With the heat outside, we definitely aren't having an early fall, so why are the trees already turning yellow?

It's actually brought on by the drought, which can cause stress and damage to trees.

Those at the National Forest Service say the colors are much earlier this year.

They add on top of early, you can expect to see color on the trees for a shorter time before many leaves fall, but again, this doesn't mean fall has come sooner.
