NEW YORK (AP) - Some Latin jazz musicians are so angry about cuts in Grammy awards categories that they're suing. It's a class-action lawsuit accusing the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of harming them by eliminating their style of music as a separate category in next year's awards. Their lawyer says eliminating the category devalues their type of music and "makes it much harder for them to gain recognition." The Grammy organization says the lawsuit is frivolous." Latin Jazz was cut altogether and blended into other categories. Country also lost several separate Grammy awards but there's still a country category.
