Here are the latest details about the Parkdale Canyon Fire in Fremont County. This is from the 8 p.m. briefing that just wrapped up.
700 acres
15 % containment
275 firefighters
Cost so far: $325,000
50 homes threatened
7 families evacuated
Anyone living north of Highway 50 is on "soft evacuation". They can go home, but should be on stand-by.
Royal Gorge and the businesses on South Highway 50 and along Road 3A will remain closed Wednesday.
