In its annual congressional scorecard, Club for Growth calls 5th District Congressman Doug Lamborn (R-Colorado) the most pro-economic growth Member of Congress. Club for Growth awarded Lamborn a score of 100 percent for his voting record on legislation to help grow the economy. Lamborn ties for the top ranking with eight other Members.
"It is a tremendous honor to be recognized for my efforts to grow the economy. With one out of every 10 American workers unemployed, expanding the economy must be our top priority. Unfortunately, the current leadership in Congress and the White House seem to know only how to grow the debt and the size of government. We need change in Washington to turn this economy around," said Lamborn.
The rating examines legislative actions that affect the nation's pro-economic growth policy goals, including:
• Lower marginal income tax rates
• Cutting and limiting government spending
• Death tax repeal
• Expanding free trade
• Legal reform to end abusive lawsuits
• Replacing the current tax code
• School choice
• Regulatory reform and deregulation
• Social Security reform with personal retirement accounts
Congressman Lamborn has earned a 100 rating from Club for Growth every year he's been in Congress.
