Labor Day: Warm with the chance for a storm

TODAY:  Another very warm day expected with another slight chance for a few much needed thundershowers. 20% chance today in El Paso and Teller County and for our neighbors on the eastern plains in La Junta and Lamar. Chances are slightly lower for Pueblo and Canon City at only about 10-20%. Best chances for showers will be over the Wet & Sangre de Cristo Mountains...30% chance and for Walsenburg and Trinidad at 20-30%. High temps today will be up around 87 in the Springs and 93 in Pueblo....which is at least 6-8 degrees hotter than average!

TONIGHT: Expect fewer clouds tonight and cooler temps. Lows by Tuesday morning will be in the upper 50's compared to this morning's very mild temps.

TUESDAY: Tomorrow will be just like today temperature wise....but not when it comes to chances for storms. We are expected dry skies across eastern Colorado with high temps matching today's highs. A cool front is headed our way and should arrive by late in the evening and into the start of your mid-week forecast.

WEDNESDAY: You'll be happy to know that we'll see cooler temps across eastern Colorado. Compared to Tuesday our highs should be at least 6-9 degrees cooler. Like Tuesday we'll still see dry skies at the lower elevations. High temps will reach 80 in the Springs and 86 mild degrees in Pueblo.

THURSDAY: Still dry at the lower elevations with mostly sunny skies and temps coming-up about 3-5 degrees compared to Wednesday. We might see an isolated storm or two over the mountains and high country.

FRIDAY: Another more significant cool front moves through bringing us another chance of showers or a few thunderstorms late in the day and early evening. High temps will be early in the day and then likely start falling after the front passes. High for Colorado Springs of 76 with a 20% chance for a shower or thunderstorm. 82 Friday in Pueblo with only a 10% chance of thundershowers.  Low temps overnight will feel very nice....dropping to around 51 in the Springs and only 53 in Pueblo.

SATURDAY: Abundant sunshine, dry skies and just gorgeous! The first day of the weekend will be the coolest day we have had in a long-time! Max temps will only reach 76 in the Springs and 82 in Pueblo.

SUNDAY: Dry again and very nice again...just a little warmer than Saturday. High temps of 78 in the Springs and 85 in Pueblo.

Have a great week!
