DENVER (AP) - Kenyon Martin won't rush his rehab from knee surgery with no contract beyond this season.
The Denver Nuggets forward said Thursday during Nuggets training camp that with nobody in a hurry to give him a new deal, "why would I be in a hurry to risk further injury?"
The 32-year-old veteran says he doesn't want to become a free agent, but he also makes clear he isn't exactly pleased with the Nuggets. He was hoping for an extension and wasn't happy they signed Al Harrington to a five-year, $33 million contract this offseason, a deal he said could have been offered to him.
